The "Original" block-of-the-month quilt was inspired by my love of nature and of flowers in particular. Some blocks are based on my childhood memories, thus the "Oregon Coast Trillium" and the foxglove in "Late Bloomers." Other designs are fantasy flowers while some are just flowers I like. I first designed and executed 30 small single flower blocks and from those I chose my favorites. Six of the designs are based on choices made by ladies in our local "Wool Group" who have been meeting every month since 1999. Since the designs are so strong, I chose to make the sashing and border simple. The border adds a nice frame to the quilt without distracting your eye from the body of the quilt. We at Wild Thymes hope you find your wool appliqué experience as rewarding and soothing as we do. This quilt is truly an heirloom in the making.

These are the purchasing options for our block-of-the-month quilts:
- Auto Ship: We will send you one kit at the beginning of each month until all 13 kits have been purchased. We bill your credit card for each individual block plus postage when it is shipped.
- Entire Quilt Purchase: When all 13 kits are purchased at the same time, a substantial discount is provided.
- Individual Kits: You may purchase any block-of-the-month kit at any time at your convenience.
- Patterns: You may also purchase just the patterns individually or as a full set. When you purchase a full set of block-of-the-month patterns, we will include the 13th pattern, "Putting-it-all-Together" at no charge.
- About Our Kits: Any kit purchased directly from Wild Thymes Pattern Company includes the pattern and all the felted wool needed to complete the design.
