Our block-of-the-month quilts are the unique creations of Barb Cribb, the owner of Wild Thymes Pattern Company. Each quilt is made from high-quality, 100% woven wool that has been pre-felted (washed to shrink it), and some of which has been hand-dyed. Currently we have two block-of-the-month quilt designs – Original and Baskets.
For each block-of-the-month quilt, there are 13 kits available (12 individual block kits and a finishing kit for the sashing and borders). Any kit purchased directly from Wild Thymes includes the pattern and all the wool needed for each design.
All the wool has been felted and is ready to cut and stitch! However, the large border and sashing wool in your finishing kit will need to be felted after you receive it. The instructions for this step are included in the border and sashing kit. Please refer to the bottom of this page for purchasing options.
Our "Original" Wild Thymes block-of-the-month quilt is a favorite of our customers. Each block can be a distinctive stand-alone design or can be made into a stunning floral quilt sure to be a cherished heirloom for generations to come.
The newest addition to our Wild Thymes line is our block-of-the-month "Baskets" quilt. Each asymmetrical block is a stand-alone design that can be framed, made into a pillow or combined with the other blocks to make a stunning heirloom quilt. Note: This quilt is not finished (the borders are still under construction).
These are the purchasing options for our block-of-the-month quilts:
- Auto Ship: We will send you one kit at the beginning of each month until all 13 kits have been purchased. We bill your credit card for each individual block plus postage when it is shipped.
- Entire Quilt Purchase: When all 13 kits are purchased at the same time, a substantial discount is provided.
- Individual Kits: You may purchase any block-of-the-month kit at any time at your convenience.
- Patterns: You may also purchase just the patterns individually or as a full set. When you purchase a full set of block-of-the-month patterns, we will include the 13th pattern, "Putting-it-all-Together" at no charge.
- About Our Kits: Any kit purchased directly from Wild Thymes Pattern Company includes the pattern and all the felted wool needed to complete the design.
